Associational Missionary
Dr. Marc Bewley is the Associational Missionary for Blue Water Association. He and his wife Lisa have 3 grown sons-Tyler, Austin, and Zachary.
Bro. Marc's first pastorate was in West Branch, Michigan. He was appointed there by the Baptist State Convention of Michigan and NAMB (then Home Mission Board) as a church planter. His next pastorate was a small mission church in Roselawn, Indiana. While in Indiana he led five mission trips to central Mexico, served on the state executive board and Associational moderator.
In 1992, God called Bro. Marc to pastor in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The church encouraged him to again lead mission trips and continue his education. He attended night school at Covington Seminary, and received a Masters and Doctoral degrees in Ministry. Bro. Marc has also taught many classes during his tenure at the seminary in Old and New Testament Survey, Homiletics, and Hermanuetics.
In 1999, God led his family to Bogota', Colombia. While in Colombia he helped to merge two English speaking churches into one. His family had ministries with street children, helped other missionaries start Bible studies and church, and began a Bible study in the US Embassy in Bogota'.
Bro. Marc has served in Blue Water since February, 2008.
